Wales 6 Nation Squad

Rob Howley has chosen a strong Six Nations squad, looking to new players such as Thomas Young and Owen Williams to take Wales through to the 2019 World Cup.
One of the biggest changes in this squad is Sam Warburton’s relinquishment of his captaincy to Alun Wyn Jones. Jones is and has always been a fantastic player. However, Wales need leaders for the future. Alun Wyn will be almost 34 by the time of the 2019 World Cup, so maybe Wales should employee a system like England have used to build leaders for the future. Otherwise, this seems like a logical captaincy given his experience.
One interesting inclusion is Thomas Young. Young has been on fire at Wasps and it will be very interesting to see if this can translate into international success. Owen Willaims has been excellent for Tigers (now moving to Gloucester), and it will be good to seem him get a chance. Blooding these players now is vital for Wales’ future success.
